Where Did Apple Strudel Originate From?

Apple strudel does not have its origins from Germany. Instead, one can trace its roots to Austria. It is very famous in many parts of Europe. Moreover, there are many popular dishes like Kaiserchmarrn or Apfelstrudel. Additionally, these are Bavarian cuisine parts.
What Pastry Do You Use For Apple Strudel?
Strudel dough is used to make the Viennese Apple Strudel. It is a soft dough rolled into a thin sheet to the size of a tabletop. Hence, there are many people who are scared to make the dough for apple strudel. Therefore, I would suggest that you make the dough if you are making the traditional apple strudel. Consequently, homemade dough is better and tastier than the paper-thin dough, as you can easily adjust and finetune the recipe to your liking.
How To Make This
Ingredients:
You will need:
- five Granny Smith apples;
- 100 grams or three and a half ounces of light brown soft sugar;
- two teaspoons of ground cinnamon;
- six sheets of Filo;
- 100 grams or three and a half ounces unsalted and melted butter
Methods To Make It
At 190 degrees Celsius or 170-degree Fahrenheit, preheat your oven. Peel and core the apples. Next, cut the apples into 2 centimeter or three fourth inch pieces. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Set aside one tablespoon of sugar mixture. The rest of the sugar mixture mix it with apples.
Layout one filo pastry sheet on a parchment paper. Brush the sheet with melted butter, sprinkle sugar mixture. Repeat the same process for all of the filo pastry sheets.

In the center, pour apple mixture on the filo sheet. Fold the short sides on the apple and long sides on the filling and continue rolling.
