The ingredients are the following 2/3 cup of all-purpose flour or whole grain flour, 2 cups of unsalted butter, 2 ½ cups of milk, ½ cup of white sugar or brown sugar, 2 eggs, 4 ½ teaspoons of dry yeast, 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, 1 tablespoon Almond extract. These ingredients require for the preparation of this food or snacks. However, for the decoration, chocolate syrup, chocolate chips, dry fruits can add at the last moment.

Method Of Preparation

  • First, you have to take a medium-size bowl and add the butter and flour. Then divide this into two and roll the half with waxed paper then keep it in the fridge.
  • Then in another large bowl take dry yeast, remaining flour, milk, sugar, salt, and heat in medium flame. Then add the remaining lemon zest, warm milk, egg into the bowl and stir it for some time. After that, it will turn into a dough.
  • Now, cut the dough in different shapes that your kid likes. Then fill up the dough and then bake it for 10 minutes at 220-degree Celcius. Thus, your pastry will be ready for your kid and he can eat it with lots of enjoyment.

Garnishing

After preparing this snack, you have to garnish it so that your kid will notice the food and eat it completely. So, you may add chocolate syrup and chocolate chips at the end. However, some dry foods like almond, cashew, walnut can be used in the snack. Similarly, cherries and strawberries are great garnishings.
